Some interesting PFF Season Stats

I'm not going to post all the numbers b/c it's a premium site, but there are several ratings of interest. The top two ranked defensive players on the Saints are...Patrick Robinson and Cameron Jordan. This is particularly encouraging news. Those who superficially harp on sacks as the only measure of a DE missed the fact that Jordan was one of the best defensive ends in the NFL against the run. He also registered quite a few QB pressures. He has a promising career ahead. Robinson shouldn't be quite as surprising. He beat out Porter for the #2 spot and has been making progress all year. It seems like he made a big play in every game down the stretch.
On the negative side of things, Dunbar, Vilma, and Shanle are 3 of the 4 lowest ranked defenders. The linebackers are the obvious weakness of the team and that has to be the #1 priority in the off season.
Offensively, Nicks is by FAR the highest rated lineman. He is going to get paid a lot and it will be well deserved. Jed Collins ended up being the #2 FB in the league (barely missing the top spot), but has the best run blocking grade of anyone at the position by a nice margin. And to add another factor to the MVP debate, Brees beat out Rodgers by a decent margin for the top spot at QB.

Jordan has done well all season in run defense, but now he is getting after the QB a good bit more creaing QB hurries and such. It also helps he is getting plenty more snaps now than earlier in the season.
Robinson was very good early in the season, he made some very nice tackles, but then he hit a mid season funk where he whiffed on plenty of tackles and gave up way too much space for receivers in coverage. Down the stretch though he has been back in form, making nice tackles and playing tight coverage.
If only we can get Martez Wilson on the field more and he can have an even bigger impact than the last game against the Panthers that would certainly help our pass rush.

At least give us some stats
Well, you can access the stats anywhere, but fair enough. I guess I should have phrased it differently and used ratings/grades since that's the unique part of the site. To give you a sense of scale, P. Rob finished with a 6.0 and Jordan was at 4.4. At the bottom, Dunbar is -25.7. Most of the defensive players have negative grades.
Brees is around a 60 and Rodgers 54. The next closest is a 35 (Brady). Nicks is at 28, Evans around 10, and Collins is also +10.
