Payton has only drafted one good WR in 9 years.

It's amazing to me that grown men have such a naive trust of "coach". Coach hasn't done shite about the WR position in a couple years.

Yeah, we should have drafted a receiver last year.
Maybe in the first.

And we should have drafted one in 2013.
And 2012.

But he didn't.

I hate the "Brees can throw to anyone and make them look good" mentality.

He can certainly make players look better than they are, but we're basically asking him to turn sumo wrestlers into marathon runners at this point.

I want the Georgia tech guy he 6'6 Darren waller end zone stud. Then there is jamison crowder duke who is a great slot type guy. Then Tre McBride William and Mary and is a colston type player. So there is still some good receivers.

Is there any chance Coleman and/or Toon are what has them so confident in not picking a WR? I really would love to see Coleman step up, but it just seems like a stretch. Toon showed some flashes and did get a good bit of snaps last year. If Cooks isn't what we all thought he was, yikes

When have the Saints drafted stud prospects and not just found WRs?

They have drafted Meachem and Cooks early. I trust the coaching staff that has had a top passing game for roughly a decade to make it work.

Tre McBride or Stefon Diggs. And I agree we might be up shite's creek at WR next season.

I thought Tony Lippett was a good WR for Michigan St. He's about the only guy I can think of off the top of my head that might be there in the 5th or so?

wait a minute, here are a few more names:

Justin Hardy-East Carolina
Devante Davis- UNLV
Vince Mayle- Washington St. <--- project player probably
Rashad Greene- Florida St. Did he get picked yet?
DeAndre Smelter- Georgia Tech I like some of the WR's this school has churned out. Would be cool if he got a chance to play in a offense that threw more. He'll probably be raw but I always thought he was an interesting player.
