So did we sign Oklahoma DT Charles Walker as an UDFA or not?

I read yesterday that we had signed him but in this article released today on neworleanssaints.com he's not listed as one of our UDFAs.

wtf? First I've heard of this guy. Apparently we signed him...

Clint Van Horn – Guard, Marshall (6-5, 314): Van Horn, who has played both guard and tackle, was a three-year starter at right tackle for the Thundering Herd The Beckley, W.V. native, who was a former walk-on, started nine games at right tackle in 2016 after receiving a medical redshirt and was a first-team All-Conference USA selection in 2014 after opening all 14 games that season.

UDFA signing are always a crapshoot on accuracy

Everyone wants to report it first so they don't double check anything, and a lot of the "signings" are actually just minicamp try outs with no actual contract (Malcolm Butler was a minicamp tryout 3 years ago)

That still boggles my mind.

We once kept an UDFA HB over a 4th round HB. One of the best decisions in franchise history and not one many teams would make.

I remember that. We cut Antonio Pittman. As I recall, Pittman was out of the league in a year or two. Horrible draft pick.

He played 2 years with the Rams (07 and 08), did poorly, and was gone after the 09 preseason (year we won the SB; coincidence?).

Didn't they trade UP to get him?

I don't believe so. I think that was Al Woods the next year.

Wasn't Pittman a second or third round grade and everyone thought we got good value there.
