You saw what Ten and Cle got for those two picks. I'd rather trade down with a team like the Broncos or Jets (team that needs a QB) for a few extra picks. Under Payton, the Saints have made better picks from rounds 2-7 (and beyond) than the first round

Saints seriously might be the worst team in the league when it comes to second rd draft picks lol. Tracy Porter is the last decent player that we drafted in the second rd. Kikaha jury is still out.

Now we have absolutely destroyed the 3rd rd. After looking back it was amazing how many studs/contributors we drafted in the 3rd rd.

Armstead, John Jenkins (was good when healthy), Hicks ( decent contributor),and Jimmy Graham. Pj Williams and Grayson the jury is still out.

we'll be ruined in a year or two if we don't find someone to replace brees.

even if his skills stay the way they are, his body isn't going to recover from sundays.

he has a couple years tops.

No more trading up:

Mickey Loomis and the New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams at tight-roping the salary cap, but they seem to have no real regard when it comes to valuing NFL draft picks. New Orleans is tied for making the fewest picks over the past five years (31) and is by far last when extending that mark over the past 10 years (62). For reference, that’s 30 fewer picks than the Packers have made over the same span. They’ve done a solid job with their first-round picks, but the lack of pick volume has really hurt the Saints in the middle to late portion of drafts, where they’ve yielded hardly any usable results.

Gross. Seattle is killing it, though.
