2 round picks is pretty steep, not sure I'd do that trade.

next year's 3 to move up to 8. Not sure i can tolerate much more compensation than that.

Hellz no. We're not in a position to move up. We need more young talent.

Our first and 3rd would be able to get us up to the 8th pick. I just don't think this team can afford to give away picks. If anything they should acquire more.

Please make it stop

How many of the teams that make playoff runs consistently trade up in the draft every year?

We'd probably have to move up to around 5 or 6 to get him, so it would cost much more than 2 future 2nd round picks. Aside from that, the only 2 players that would warrant any sort of trade up would be Jalen Ramsey or Miles Jack.

bingo! we should take the NE strategy and trade down 4 times and get a shite ton of picks. Seems to work out well for them.

Our first and second could get us to 6 and maybe even 5.

While NE drafts well they can afford to miss bc they have 10 picks a year. At that rate 60% of your draft can suck but if you get 4 contributors you win.

When you have 5 picks every year you can't afford to miss.
It's a numbers game. Not saying every team will have success with that model but the Saints certainly haven't been crushing the draft recently so idk why people want to take the same approach still.

NOPE. If Lynch is still there at 12, we trade down with NYJ for #20 and get their 2nd, #51.

Take Dodd or Spence with #20, Butler or Clark with #47 and OG Whitehair Garnett or Westerman with #51....

I'm absolutely against ANY trade up. The road to NFL draft success is paved with the greatest number of draft picks you can amass.

With that said, I would love for us to trade down and acquire a bunch of additional picks.

Buckner is not Mario Williams. He is not the be all end all DE prospect and he is not the only piece we are missing from being a good football team again.

Keep all picks or acquire more.

If you're so hooked on a players that you'd trade future away in order to pick him, then you should not pick that player at all. You're very likely blinded by your own desire that you can not see the flaws that others who could pick him and don't see.
