Just wanted to get some thoughts on this because I haven't seen much talk about it. Obviously the secondary had a pretty bad start to the season but looked much better this past Sunday. Our corners have been flat out burnt on man to man plays obviously but something I had noticed the first few games was the way they were playing the WRs on these big plays given up. They would play deep and shade pretty hard to one side or the other and usually give free release to a deep quarter while trailing them as if they were expecting safety help that was never there. A lot of the time it would look like the CBs would look to see their safety help but then try to play catch up since there was none. This past Sunday they looked to actually all understand their coverage responsibilities and be on the same page for the most part minus a few plays. So I guess what I'm asking is for thoughts on with Crawley and PJ not being the best corners do yall think that the major issue and one of the reasons we have been giving up so many yards was the secondary miscommunicating and not having proper coverage responsibilities?

While it is possible that they have cleared up a lot of the communication issues, I would not use this game to make that assessment. NYG has a shitty offensive line and cannot give Eli the protection he needs to try and attack our corners. He was able to take a few shots with success, but they used a lot of short passes to get the ball past the o-line. If it happens again against Wash, then I would begin to feel more comfortable about the secondary turning the corner.
