good shite.

all the things he's asking for in those sound bytes, he's not getting. And its a direct correlation to his/Loomis' mismanagement of the roster.

Just seems to have no fire and a coach who is so frustrated with the personnel around him that he just doesn't expect us to do the things he preached when he first came aboard.

when he said "this is alright on this hash... trust me..." i bet that was the reverse to the short side of the field on 2nd and 2

And they didn't show him fumbling to call "fullback dive" on 3rd and 1 without blowing a much-needed timeout

He actually seemed way more level headed than I expected...

It's almost as if he thought they whole time we would win the game...

I lol'd when he said "It's OK to get pressure on their QB Rob"...

I never doubted that the guy did not know what needed to be done to make this team better, but it's good to hear him saying the things in the game. Sometimes it seems like he is hard headed and oblivious to the fact that his OL needs help in some situations but he calls it out. I know he gets a lot of flack and criticism for game management, but the guy is still one of the best play callers in the league if not the best. This team has potential though it is very young, and the 0-2 start does not look good to go along with the Brees injury, but I think a good game put together this weekend could give them the confidence they need to put a decent season together.

Scenarios for this weekend:

1-Brees plays and has a great game, Saints win: fans will say he still has it and the Saints are winning the superbowl and they knew it all along.

2-Brees plays- Plays great, saints lose: "Defense and Drew Brees at 70% is to blame. Fire Rob Ryan." -Fans

3-Brees plays looks like dog shite and wins: "Saints defense is the best in the league, and Brees is not needed to keep this team winning anymore. Trade Brees for pass rushers and better WR's" -sincerely fans

4-Brees plays and looks like dog shite and saints lose: "Payton should not have played brees! what was he thinking! Blow the whole thing up no team has ever made the playoffs after starting 0-3 with 13 games to go and a favorable schedule." - Fans

5-McCown plays and looks great, saints win: Fans- "Brees is no longer needed trade him for pass rushers and WR's and ride the McCown train for a couple of years!"

6-McCown plays like hot cat poop and Saints win: "Greatest defense to ever hit the field for the Saints! just wait until Brees is back!" -Fans

7-McCown plays well and Saints Lose: "They would have won if we had Brees!" -Fans

8- McCown plays like shite and Saints Lose-" What do you expect without Brees! Defense Sucks and we do not have a kicker! Blow it all up the glory years are dead" -Fans

my take: no matter who is at QB, the Saints need to run the ball and be better on 1st and second down. Last Season during the first possession of the Carolina Game in NOLA, Cam Newton drove his offense 80 yards in 6 minutes including two QB rushes, one of which was for 21 yds marking Newton's longest of the season. Saints failed to sack Newton who came into the game as the second most sacked QB at that time. This is the type of defensive production that prevents a balanced offensive attack and leads to a 41-10 defeat. This will not and cannot happen Sunday. Contrary to popular belief, I believe the Saints have enough talent on both sides of the ball to win games, but they simply need to play complimentary football. They have to cross mid field so they do not start every drive at their own 15-20 yard line. They have to get off the field on 3rd down and medium to long. Winning the time of possession and field position battle will be the key to winning on Sunday.
