I'm an optimist, so I think he means he's even more sick of questions about him coaching the cowboys than he is of bounty questions.

I took it as he's not interested at all.

one of two things: either he's sick of being asked the question (just like the bounties)... or its complicated and he doesnt want to do any (more) damage, much like the bounties.

As long as we have Brees and they have Romo, im not worried about him leaving. If he does, its at some point in the distant future becuase they have a young gamer at QB, or Brees is done.

i would interpret it as, "I don't want to say my answer in front of Saints fans."

He's much too media savvy to answer that question like a complete moron.

I cannot fathom how many times just in the last six months or so Payton has been ask to coach dallas by

Jerry Jones
Friends of Jerry Jones
Buisness associates of Jerry Jones
R Godell
The Gov of Texas
Friends of the Gov of Texas
Media arse-wipes of Texas
Media arse wipes around the country
And of course the loud mouth fans of dallas cowboys
Till Brees is no longer our QB I have 0% worries on this matter.

At the advice of the Big Tuna, I doubt Sean will ever coach for Jerry (even if Benson fired him).

This.

Cowgirls next coach will be Rob Ryan.

He won't leave. Even if he did, they would at best lose a playoff game as a wildcard every year.

They've won ONE playoff game in 15 years. It isn't the player. It isn't the coaches. It's Jerry mother effin Jones that's causing the team (and organization) to severly underachieve every single year.

It's a circus down in Dallas, and Jones is the head clown. He is the new Al Davis of the NFL. Until he decides to ONLY be the owner, and not try to be general manager and coach, Dallas will not win a championship, whether it be NFC title or Super Bowl title.

Point in case, you'd have to be an idiot to leave an organization like the New Orleans Saints to go be a part of the Jerruh Freak Show.

I can't see how any big name takes this job without total control of the franchise. Jerry Jones is the common denominator in their futile efforts of maintaining mediocrity over the past 15 years.

Jimmy Johnson drafted and built the 90's dynasty. Once Jerry took it over, the proof is in the pudding.

Ditto.

I think he meant that the idea of him going to Dallas is asinine and he'd rather answer another bounty question than be bothered with stupid questions.

I think Payton likes his freedom with this team, when he actually has it. I doubt he would have as much with the cowboys when on active roster.

Seems to be the kind of guy who loves projects. Loves to fix his work.

Sucks for him as a person what Goodell did to him. Not only has the guy lost his marriage, his career (one of the things he obviously takes very serious) has been under constant persecution..and if it isn't bad enough, the people you would normally reach out to and discuss these things or have them come to you...cant happen cause some a-hole feels that would be the best way to protect the shield.

yeah, hurt a growing and exciting fanbase of the product you put out. These people make incredible salaries...if you really do care about things like player safety and care..when they frick up, fine them and donate their money to a charity that helps former players who have been harmed by the game, players that really didnt get taken care of like today's guys.

I understand there are things already set up, was just an example of what could be done with the money these guys make and lose with fines. They are suspended without pay anyways..take the money and put it to good use. Let them work for free if they choose to, but dont hurt a fanbase of the precious shield.
