We all know Ryan want be here next year, so why delay it. Give Allen a chance to see if has what it takes, or we can know if we have to find someone else during the off season.

Rob said last week that Sean has heavy influence on the defense so how can Sean fire anyone? If thats the case its half his fault

Since Payton has been head coach, none of his defenses has been ranked higher than 10th and that was only for two years in 2010 and 2013. Most of the time, his defenses were about like this year's. So, go head and fire Rob Ryan. Chances are, we'll be getting this same defense next year.

It hasn't been this bad in a while. Greg Williams looks like a genius now.

How many dc's do we need to go through before we decide it isn't the dc at fault?

Hey, classy! Ok, I'll give you a fourth ranking. Many sources using defensive efficiency ratings gave them a 10th. Nevertheless, the Saints only had two defenses like that since the Payton regime. Get rid of Ryan and the probability is that not much changes. The real problem in my opinion lies with inept draft choices and FA signings year after year after year.

Both those defenses were ranked higher than 10th

Can you link the many sources?

5 DCs in 9 years and all of them would have been fired? Indicative of a deeper problem to me

Technically, williams had his contract expire, or was he let go?

I know his extension caused issues between him and payton

Allen is in charge of the secondary. How's that working out?

Why?

Because he has been such a great position Coach?

Why do yall blow this dude is hard? Allen is shite.

He sucked when he was here the first time, he isn't doing well now. He constantly plays people out of position, he fails at developing players, and as the Raiders head coach they went 4-12, then 4-12, then he was fired when they started his third season 0-4.

If you're going to suggest that we change our DC mid season at least suggest a competent person to replace him.

Not well, which creates big issues when you have your pass rusher out like against the titans.

We were forced to blitz to generate pressure, and browner...

I really don't get what people want Ryan to do in those types of games. We were injured and didn't make the easy plays that we were in a position to make. He can't intercept the ball for them.

We only have $29 million in active defensive money ($60+ on offense for comparison). Byrd, Hawthorne, Lewis, and Browner make up a lot of that. Lewis has been on a pitch count and limited, Byrd has missed significant time, and Hawthorne is Hawthorne

1.The great unknown(would love to be in the film room Mondays) is what are the plays that Rob is calling at the time and are they the correct one's?

2.Then are the players in the right position?

3.And if they are in position are they doing a good job?

CSP by now knows the answer question #1.
As to if the players are buying in and paying attention which is #2 I would think he knows the answer as well.
#3 is as always reviewed and graded play by play after the year is over.

If CSP doesn't like the answer to #1 and #2 he decides there is a better DC on hand (Vitt or Allen) or rolls with Rob till the end of season.

PS

Just saw this stat holy sh!t:
Quarterbacks have a 112.0 passer rating against the secondary.

I was more talking about the dropped interception that resulted in a long TD

So yea, on that play they were

But a lot of the same defensive assistants. If/when they get rid of Ryan, I think they need to look at cleaning house on that side of the ball (including Vitt)
