We are really missing that element of our offense. The 2nd down delays to Ingram kinda replace that, but not completely. We don't have a Bush/Sproles on our roster, and you don't have a Pieere Thomas either. Ingram hasn't done much from there, and Hightower brings apparently brings nothing to the table as a pass receiver.

Makes the C.J. Spiller release even more perplexing. He must either be done or he really pissed Payton off. Cadet is now basically a wide receiver, they're not using Cooks much for that either, and Payton doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix that.

I know, 32 points is enough to win, blah blah. But in the clutch, Payton had no options to slow down the pass rush.

But in the past when you didn't have time to go vertical or let the routes develop, you could just swing it to Bush and get 8 yards and keep the pass rush honest.

The Saints have no ability or desire to beat the defense to the corner. They used to use Cooks for that. But if he's going to be the only reliable option at WR, especially if Snead is out, then he can't play that role.
