Frederick is surprising(though maybe not so much if you heard Payton talking him up), but I figured it would be Sanford or White at SS. Seems Sanford was further ahead in the safety race.

I thought Ball would be the guy at SS honestly, but he's been pretty bad. Sanford has a few years of starting experience and should be familiar with the Bears, so he makes a lot of sense.
