I like Billings and Rankins cuz they are much more proven as penetrators.

Sorry. I know it's lame and outdated, but I couldn't help myself.

As of right now, the draft is set up perfectly for us. Lawson or Rankins will fall right in our lap.

Glover failed in Oakland back before Al ran that team into the ground.

Glover was a great find for the Saints but he didn't exactly "fail" in Oakland, he was a victim of the numbers and didn't get much of a chance. Remember, that Oakland team had 3 pro bowl caliber DTs. Russell Maryland, Darrin Russell, and that McGlocklin fella.

How do you think he'd do in a 3-4?

This is just what the saints do man. Need a pass rusher, nope let's draft a run stopper instead smfh

Luckily Cam Jordan worked out. Boy was I pissed when they drafted a guy who's "never gonna be a dominant pass rusher".

Glad we picked him now

I think a lot of people overrate him a bit because he fricked LSU's world up.
It's not hard to frick LSU's world up when you know they are gonna run the damn ball every time. He pretty much said this himself when he was down there earlier to train for the combine.

Exactly! I was gonna answer that myself. He was no fail, the talent was there, but he was undersized and Al preferred big DT's and he had all those good, big ones you named. Just a victim of circumstances that the Saints benefitted from.
