I can tell you're inexperienced when it comes to watching or knowing anything about football. That last drive was a typical "get down the field with a chance to kick in the final seconds" type drive.

It occurs most every Saturday/Sunday, and was as routine as you'll see with any team. Where the frick was luck involved in that?

Just started watching Drew Brees? You should have been watching in 2009.

Terrible thread title.

I agree that I would have preferred running the clock down to like 8 secs and still have a TO in my pocket in case of a bad snap, but the fact that we didn't bobble the snap is NOT lucky. There are just a handful of bobbled snaps in the NFL every year. The chance of that happening is extremely small.

If you titled your thread Saints could have handled the clock slightly better then I would have agreed with you.

That, certainly, would be playing it by the book. However, that would mean another kickoff and a chance for a run back.

Glad it worked out the way it did.

Coach SP has the "do you job" mentality.

He left 3 sec on the clock bc he does not plan for mistakes, he plans for perfection and leaves no doubt that he believes in his team

The Saints were lucky they pulled off the tough task of a 35 yard field goal?

What if in the heat of the moment Drew tried to spike but it bounced off De La Puenta's ankle, instead, high into the air, and picked off by one of the Eagles?

It could happen.

And give the Eagles a chance to return a kick and/or run a final play? No thanks.

I'm just impressed someone can get 53 down votes on their second post! Might have a gameday future here.

I was sure the refs would call a false start. Did we have a TO left, or would it have been game over?
