Seriously, the amount of absurdity on this board is impossible to comprehend. It's one thing to be critical of the team (yes it's deserved), but the irrational and illogical nature of the complaints is beyond embarrassing. The shite I read on this board is equal to the doomsday whining we usually mock on Falcons Life forums.

Scroll through the topics on this front page, and try not to let your eyes roll. It's impossible.

You realize that during the season, especially after losses, the Rantards invade this place and it is just as bad as any forum out there? Its always like this after a loss.

And, to be fair, I am one of the people that is being highly critical (although I would wager, logical).

I'm a long time season ticket holder and Sean Payton Sunshine Pumper and I am just numb to this. I'm done. I'm ready to move on from this era.

This is to be expected.

A new year brings new hope. A dominant preseason defense adds to that hope.

A lackluster game one with the same problems as the previous three seasons brings it all crashing down.

Let's be honest with ourselves though. There has been only one instance in the Payton era where this team has been to the playoffs after starting off 0-1, and it was in 2011.

We let a dink & dunk QB with the worst yards per completion in the NFL torch our secondary for 300+ yards.

This week we face Brady & Cooks.

I'm not optimistic.

I thought they were a playoff team at the end of the preseason.

These are facts.

Yes, which is why I have gone from a frequent poster to a once in a while one. The obnoxiousness has ran me away

As am I. I'm not calling out intellectual criticism; I'm referring to the irrational crap that dominates currently. (Payton and Loomis swindling an old man; Payton and Brees just want records; Only in NO a HOF has less touches than a rookie; etc etc etc). These are just the thread titles. Once you start reading through some legitimate gripe threads, then the tard factor is amplified.

I was ready when they gave him an extension prior to last season. I was not angry at it, but I believed at that time he was not a good coach anymore. I think his system has been figured out, and he does not have the ability to adjust at all. Thank you for the super bowl; it will never be forgotten, but you have to give us something good in the time since then. This struggle for mediocrity should not be acceptable.

100% agreed. The game has somewhat passed SP by and he is just a shell of his former self.

It is over. It is very, very much time to move on.

And that applies to the complete power structure of all franchises:

Loomis
Payton
Dell Demps
Alvin Gentry.

It is truly reflects how having an owner in basically limbo can paralyze your franchises. All of those guys should have been canned.

I think it's more that Tommy B is an extremely loyal guy. He historically has held onto coaches longer than he should've. Payton winning the SB has bought him two years (possibly more) than another coach would've received.

Take away the season ticket holder part and I'm with you. Unfortunately I wasn't in a place financially where I could afford them when the 2006 influx of ticket buyers rushed in.

the only Brightside I can hope for is that enough people drop their tickets where I can become one of that number. Because Sean will eventually be gone as will Brees but I'm Saints for life.
