I'd assume they signed him to the practice squad.

Hey when we sign guys nobody knows about we usually do good with them. We can hope he's another player to be added to that list.

Maybe we signed him to get some CFL pointers for this weeks game.

From wikipedia:
quote:

On September 3, 2012, during the last Labour Day Classic played at Ivor Wynne Stadium, Willams recorded his sixth return touchdown of the year, setting a new CFL record for return touchdowns in a single season. It was also the third consecutive game in which Williams had returned a punt for a touchdown, which also established a new CFL record.[1] Williams finished the season with 16 touchdowns, 1,298 receiving yards and 1,117 punt return yards.

Ah ha.
So he's a return man.
Interesting.

Don't want Sproles injured on special teams. Probably Ps until developed.

Not to sound overly excited about a CFL player, but he was considered the best special teams player last season in that league.

He was released from his contract yesterday and immediately received offers from multiple NFL teams.

I wonder, if he's on the 53, if that means Cadet is gone.

I think so.

Because honestly, we only kept Cadet around for return duties and depth.
