You are correct, sir. That was a typo on my end.

rotoworld sez he mentioned a TE specifically but I haven't seen that...

Brees, signed through, next year, now has the league's highest 2016 cap number at $30 million. New Orleans will have to make a quick decision on Brees in the offseason, as $10.75 million of his $19.75 million salary for next year becomes guaranteed on February 10. If the Saints release of trade him, they'll eat $10 million in dead money. Why do this restructure now? Coach Sean Payton said the Saints are looking to improve the roster, specifically mentioning tight end.

ah, Triplett...

Mike Triplett @MikeTriplett
#Saints Sean Payton mentioned that team would like to add a third TE along with Watson, Hill. Not sure how high they would aim.

We will probably end up signing somebody like Mathias Kiwanuka, Chris Cook, Geno Hayes or Hakeem Nicks in week six.

Martellus Bennett FWIW

The GM has ties with the Saints and they're selling players. Saints are looking for a TE

We should make a move for Jordan Cameron. Dude fits the mold of what our FO is looking for, tons of ability, overpaid, and often hurt. Make it happen!

i know colston is pretty much done, but frick what has happened to this WR core?

so we will basically have to draft a WR in the early rounds. we will have one of the youngest groups in the league.

I mean what were they expecting to happen? They basically raped Brees receiving options from last year and left us with an aging Colston, Cooks and a bunch of UDFA/Scrap heap options.

so we will have

before the draft. snead is looking like a solid slot guy. but so many receivers were supposed to "replace" colston on the outside and it just really hasnt happened.

its the first time in awhile that i feel like this team is just lost. it wouldve been really nice to see what rob ryan can actually do with a fully healthy defense though.

They most likely but too much stock into Toon and Seantavious Jones. Thankfully Snead was a pleasant surprise this offseason, or this WR group would somehow be even worse than it is now.

If this team spends that money this year on "normal in-season" moves, the entire front office should be shot.

This team is going nowhere with "normal in-season" type moves. You could make the case it's not going anywhere anyway.

They were banking on Brees being able to make chicken salad out of chicken shite if they just invested a little in the oline.

They would have been right like 3 or 4 yrs ago.
