I was unaware we needed Pro Bowl FA to win one more game.

Every year at least 8 teams change their wins or losses by a margin of at least 4. Thats a fact and I track every NFL team since 1996 on that stat. Last year there were 9 teams that either improved by at least 4 wins or regressed by at least 4 losses. We have been stagnate for 3 years. So you are saying we are going to regress to 3 wins? If not then its a much safer play on over 8 wins than it is on under.

"You are what your record says you are". Last year is not this year so it has nothing to do with anything but last year.

We don't need pro bowl worth, we just need solid

Here is who we picked up in free agency.

LB A.J. Klein
DE Alex Okafor
LB Manti Te'o

Maybe not an inspiring list but all three guys look to be solid players with Te'o being hampered by injuries (that is concerning). The draft gave us a several potentially good players on defense but any draftee is still a crap shoot.

You guys realize the Saints were essentially a 10-6 team last year.

Every team in the NFL has two to three games that swing the wrong way. They also have two to three that they get lucky and win. NFL has more parity than any other professional sport and it's unique in the fact it's entire model is based on who is better today not who is the better team.

At the end of the season your record speaks for itself.

LB Manti Te'o

I don't think he makes the team when it's all said and done. Love the Klein pick up very solid player that may not set the world on fire but won't make many mistakes.

Okafor hasn't been given a legit shot to start and now he has it I hope he steps up. Like I said earlier across the board on Defense everything is if this and if that

If Lattimore is the real deal
If Breaux can return to form two years ago
If Vonn Bell has learned and gotten better
If Anthony can contribute
If Marcus Willams is the FS we have been lacking
If swann can stay healthy
If PJ Williams didn't lose his brain in that scary hit
If Ellerbe can stay healthy
If okafor can shine as a starter
If Kihaha still has a knees
If Rankins can take the next step.

Good analysis. I think Te'o still has great potential but I suspect the odds favor your prediction.

UNDER........this team wont win 4 games.

Lmao. This team has under-performed for 3 straight years. For 3 years we had the worst defense in the NFL and we still got 7 wins. The only way this team gets under 4 wins is if #9 isnt on the field for 13 games.

I think he will

Agreed

Okafor hasn't been given a legit shot to start and now he has it I hope he steps up.
Agreed and I think he will

Like I said earlier across the board on Defense everything is if this and if that

If Lattimore is the real deal He is
If Breaux can return to form two years ago Somewhere in the middle, number 2 or 3 CB behind Williams and Latimore
If Vonn Bell has learned and gotten better He'll be behind M. Williams and Vaccaro
If Anthony can contribute Hopefully optimistic
If Marcus Willams is the FS we have been lacking This kid is for real
If swann can stay healthy Sadly, no. Shame too, like the fella. But say hello to Arthur Maulet and Crawley
If PJ Williams didn't lose his brain in that scary hit Scary hit, but he's back and will be the number 2 CB
If Ellerbe can stay healthy I think he has vaginitis
If okafor can shine as a starter Hell yeah
If Kihaha still has a knees Wish the Pineapple Express could, really do, but I'm not feeling it with the LB depth this year
If Rankins can take the next step. Hell to the yeah, he's gonna be a force

Even with the loss of Armstead for the year, I'd still pick the over. 11-5.

You one of those assholes waiting to say "I told you so"?

You have nothing to back up your statement. Not a goddamn thing. That makes you a troll. I dont give a shite if you hate the Saints or love the Saints. I want the negative nancys to backup their statements with facts. I have and I would feel comfortable putting money on the over 8. Not a lot of money because I cant predict injuries to the key guys.

I mean that's arguably 3 out of our 5 top linemen on both sides of the ball with a lot of uncertainty at this point.

fricking bullshite
