I will say I was not a fan of his as an OC (although it wasn't all his fault for the offensive issues) at MSU, but I think he'll do well. I knew Brett Ingalls from his time at NW as an OL coach, so that role should be fairly easy to transition too.

Michigan State second-year offensive coordinator Dan Roushar is leaving to become running backs coach for the New Orleans Saints, MSU confirmed today. MSU released the following statement from Roushar: “The New Orleans Saints and Michigan State are built on similar models, with a focus on character and people. New Orleans has won a Super Bowl, and over the last five years, the Saints have been one of the winningest organizations in the NFL. I’ve had an opportunity to work for Mark Dantonio – in my opinion, the best college football coach in America – for the last eight years, including the last six seasons at Michigan State. Now, I have an opportunity to work for arguably the best coach in the NFL, in Sean Payton. Professionally, this is an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up. Now as a running backs coach, I have the chance to learn the interworking of the NFL.

How was the oline under his tenure at MSU?
I see he was there from 2007-2010 as the Oline coach

Not very good, but it was constantly depleted due to injury.

i thought I remembered MSU having a pretty good running game and pretty good offense excluding this year. Guess that's what I get for only watching a few games

Sparty had some pretty good RB's go through in recent years. Javon Ringer and Le'Veon Bell come to mind.
