I’ll take the over, but barely.

• This is the first sub-.500 win total for New Orleans since 2016 (7 wins, pushed).

• The Saints have gone under their win total in back-to-back seasons (went 4-0-1 in previous five).

Since my way too early prediction was 8-9 I'm in the over camp!

Does a 7-10 season get Dennis Allen fired or does Mickey double down and tell us how Dennis Allen is the reincarnation of Bear Bryant and Paul Brown?

He's fired if he doesn't make the playoffs with an above .500 record

Spot on. Not enough to win the division but enough wins to screw up draft positioning.

Over but only 8 wins.

Think floor is 5-6 and absolute ceiling 9 only because of division.

We’re going to be older and likely worse than last year with a bit of a difficulty in schedule bump.

The bucs, falcons, and panthers all got better and we didn't, draft pending.

We need major help at all 3 levels of defense and massive oline help.

Yeah, 7.5 is about right.

No way DA survives an 8 win season… if he does, then we might as well all check out because it’s going to be a decade of misery.

I’m going with the under. We win only 5 games this season.

Under. They won 9 last year and this year will be a tougher schedule. I say they go 7-10

I once would have said "he's fired and gone...easily"! Now I'm not so sure. Loomis and the brass seem very comfortable like plump Hobbits by the fire.

Loomis did say that there had been too much complacency and that was on him.

Hopefully he just wasn't saying what he thought everybody wanted to hear.

If it's another sub .500 season I don't know how he could stand there with a straight face and say that they just need more time. But I could see him doing that if there were a bunch of injuries that they couldn't overcome he'd have one excuse line up after another which I hope that won't be the case.

We just played the easiest schedule in Saints history, did not make the playoffs and he kept his job. I don’t put anything past his BIL Loomis..

of all the 10 wins or less teams in nfl last year, Saints had the highest +/- differential by far. you can say what you think it means or it doesn't mean but i think the saints have taken a lot of tough breaks. Half the league is a randomness play/injury/referee call away from being on the plus side of .500 vs the minus side of .500. Any team needs to root for better health, more team continuity and hopefully saints offensively are better prepared. could lead to dividends that people are underestimating slightly mostly cause they fear derek carr just may be good enough.
