It became a joke when they let Aaron Brooks in. However, Michael Lewis deserves to be in there.

The Saints HOF has always been shaky.

Tom Dempsey was a below average kicker except for one moment.

John Hill and Hoby Brenner were serviceable starters at best, who only got in because of their longevity.

Rueben Mayes had one good season.

Joel Hilgenberg made the Pro Bowl because people thought they were voting for his brother.

Doug Atkins was a HOFer, but his Saints career was unmemorable compared to hie years in Chicago.

Aaron stats got him in the Saints HOF, and winning the 1st ever playoff game. He deserved to be in there. Statistically, he is top 3 in almost every Saints category and many of the records Drew broke had Brook's name attached to it. So why shouldn't he have been ellected to the Saints HOF?

Why is this a joke?

Michael Lewis absolutely deserves this recognition. If you dont think he's an all time great saint you can go frick yourself.

Hughes played for the Saints for only 4 years. If he wasn't a local guy he wouldn't be in.

Lewis and Hughes are the 1st 2 local NOLA players to be inducted in the SHOF.

Reports are that Hughes also to be inducted to the Houma Bayou Bucks HOF.- Yes, he played for the NIFL here in Houma too. In fact, Michael Lewis and Joe Horn- 2 other inductees to Saints HOF came to watch him a few times.

I am still surprised there hasn't been a movie about Lewis yet. The guy in Invincible barely saw the field didn't really contribute and only played for two years.Lewis was at the top of the league in return yardage, was always a threat to take it back, and was an actual contributor.

Tell him to get off his lazy arse

The only reason Rudy got made is b/c the guy himself shamelessly campaigned for it over more than a decade

It has become a joke...but to be fair, the demographic group that the Hall is primarily aimed at -- the Buddy D listening, Happy Feller-remembering, Archie-loving, terrace dwelling, ostrich-racing, eternally frustrated, old school diehard "wait 'til next year" baghead Saints fan, brimming with nostalgia from the olden days, is slowly but surely dying off. Once those people are gone the Hall will have to morph into something else.

nah... we'll always have great moments and things worth remembering... i haven't been there in years, but i need to go back now that it's in the dome

if we didn't have a HOF we might not be an educated fanbase. we might be (gasp) Tampa Bay.

WTF are you talking about? What Saints fan is nostalgic for pre-2006?

We remember those days, because the pain we suffered as loyal fans makes the Super Bowl victory taste all that much sweeter

Lewis deserves to be in. I was looking at the list and there is a lot of players that aren't inducted that I would put in before Tyrone Hughes.

I remember those days and having one of the best defenses in the league (dome patrol) and not so good offenses. If only we had that type defense with the offense we have had post signing Brees.

I have a Reuben Mayes rookie card.

How do the Saints require you to be out before you can be inducted. I'm thinking Steve Gleason should have been in by now.

It'll start getting better now if you think about because the 2006 on up guys can go like Scott Fujita.
