per nola.com

I'm a big fan of TJ Watt. I'd like to see him play a role similar to Junior Galette's.

For comparison:
Galette
6’2”; 257 lbs; 33” arms
40: 4.77; bench: 25 reps; vert: 33.5”; broad: 113”; 3 cone: 7.04; 20 yd shuttle: 4.16

TJ Watt
6’4”; 252 lbs; 33 1/8” arms
40: 4.69; bench: 21 reps; vert: 37”; broad: 128”; 3 cone: 6.97; 20 yd shuttle: 4.13

A lot of people project him as an OLB, not sure why. He looks like he could play 4-3 DE for us if he bulked up a little.

They've worked out a shitload of DEs and Rush LBs that could go anywhere from round 1-3. Pretty much all of them, in fact.

Barnett is 6'3 259. Watt 6'4 252 is not too crazy far from that.

I really like Watt. I'll say it again, if people think he's being mentioned because of his last name then they haven't been paying attention. He can play.

He was all over the place in that LSU opener. Really hated him for that.

Yeah if he bulked up to 260 he could be a better version of Galette, which is really all we need.

I think he's one of those few that can play standing up or in the dirt. If a really good player falls at 11 that's not a pass rusher I'd be okay with snagging that player, maybe a Marshon Lattimore, Hooker or Adams, then snagging Charles Harris at 32 and then Watt at 42. Between the two we should be able to find SOMEONE who can compliment Jordan and up our pass rush.

Yes, he's a great player just like his brother. I would be pleased if the Saints drafted him.

Does anyone know what round he's projected to be drafted?

Pretty universally getting put around the end of the 1st / first 1/3 of the 2nd. I've seen him mocked to the Falcons at 31 like 50+% of the time

Pretty much throw the late 3rd and move up to take him.

Truthfully depends on 11

How?

You think he'll be gone before 11?

ETA:i think 11 is too early for him.

Depends what we do at 11. Don't think they'll double dip de with both 1st rounders

Gotcha.

That was so basic, it didn't register in my small, mushy brain.

he should only get better. Hasn't he only played DE 1 year? (converted from TE)
