Why did Dan Marino fall to pick 27? Why did Aaron Rodgers go from being talked about as a possible 1st overall pick to falling to pick 24? Why did Cameron Jordan fall all the way to pick 24 when he was projected as a much higher pick? Because teams draft by need, don't always pick the best possible player, and good players get lost in the shuffle of the draft and wind up dropping below their projected value every year.

It really only takes basic reasoning skills to figure this out. You don't even have to know much of anything about football to see it. You have to be purposely trying to be foolish.

Because just about every year the Saints outsmart everyone, and find a stud player right there for the taking.

Let's just hope this time we aren't getting a Robinson and a Peat, but are getting couple of real studs. It's time.
