Here are our picks by round, and the overall number.

1. 11, 32
2. 42
3. 76, 103
4. No pick
5. No pick
6. 196
7. 229

We have 5 of the first 103 picks. This draft is deep on defense. We COULD turn our defense around with this draft. Or not.

I have 0 confidence that will happen with us having one good draft class the last 7 years.

Sheldon Rankins and Vonn Bell were two great finds last year, I have faith we'll add more talent this year. On top of this, look what we've done so far this off-season.

- We've plugged the biggest hole on offense (RG) with Larry Warford.
- We add LB AJ Klein who could be our next star
- We now have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds to add impact players

This is clearly us going all out to get Brees a defense so we can finally win one for him. Adding Warford so Tim Lelito doesn't have to start already makes this offense better. Michael Thomas is our number one and Snead had 900 yards last year, nearly 1,000 while Ingram ran for another 1,000. Also, perhaps the Titans offered just 18 and nothing else. Payton prob figured 18 to 32 wasn't a bad enough drop to get another 3rd rounder.

I actually think Jeff Ireland has had a good impact on this team in regards to the draft. 15 was sort of all over the place, but honestly we got some good players and some that are just injury bitten. Last year seems to be a homerun with pretty much all of our picks being big time contributors. If we can get guys that come in and play right away with most of those picks in the first 3 rounds then it's a success.

I agree. I got beat up about Ireland a year ago, but last year's draft seems to be okay to me. 2015 was a mess though.

Hell no.

These are the geniuses who took Stephone Anthony when Landon Collins and Malcolm Brown were still on the board. The guys who took Stanley Jean Baptiste when Allen Robinson and Jarvis Landry were still on the board. The guys who traded UP to get Jonathan Jenkins. Who drafted Tavon Rooks in round 6 when not even Rooks expected that he would be drafted, and who took Khari Fortt in round 4 and Ronald Powell in round 5 of the same draft. And on and on and on.

I guarantee you those will not be the spots we end up with at the end of the draft. Not the Loomis/Payton way to stand pat.

Lol. Gunna package 11, 32, 2018 1st to move up to 5 and pick OJ Howard.

Really another third. No they only moved up fifteen spots. A good deal would have been next year's 4 for the third not this years

I hope Payton knows more than that.
The #18 pick = #32 + #59 (which is a 2nd round pick)
LINK

My guess is that the Titans offered #18, but withdrew the offer. The #18 pick is much better than the #32 and the #103. Saints should have gotten the Patriots #32 and their #2nd round pick or add a 5th round pick with the #32 and #103. Saints should not have given up their 4th.

And Grayson...

I really fricking hate the FO sometimes. This trade doesn't help my feelings towards them. There was no reason to rush this trade, some $800k or whatever payment is nothing if you can get a better trade partner.

Jury still out on Bell. He looked lost in coverage last year, but pretty good in run support.

I seriously doubt the Saints will draft from those spots.

I could see them offering a 2018 1st with our second round pick this year to get back into the first round again.

Then packaging those 3rd round picks for one second rounder. We've traded back into the first round before and I could see us doing it again even with 2 first round picks
