He's still a solid cb, you keep him and extend him or potentially trade him during preseason.

That’s basically my thought as well. You only move on from him if you absolutely need to. With that said, I could see a Murray situation where they try to extend him for a reduced contract and he refuses because he thinks he can get more w another team so they end up cutting him to sign/trade whoever their QB will be

He was teams number one corner the year before, and could be numerous teams number two. He played good last year for us. He should have trade value. Why just cut him? Wait till the preseason when a contender has injuries.
