For the first 39 years, this franchise has not had a player wear the #9 jersey for more than 2 years and none of the previous 4 owners of the jersey gave pride or honor to the number. Then in January 2006, something happened
that would change the New Orleans Saints franchise forever. Then 1 month after surgery, Drew Brees would become the face of the Franchise and of the rebuilding city. If he could come back so could the Saints and the City.
And come back it did...
