I'd be more inclined to FAP if Nnamdi were the one saying this or if this meant anything

How we can we afford this dude? I read he wants a shitload of money. He would dent our entire cap and we wouldn't be able to sign anyone else. We would have to cut more people to make some available. You'd have to think they're going for a OT too...just for depth or w/e.

We went after and almost got Kruger so I think they know where their money is at.

wave a superbowl trophy under his nose, show him he's pretty much guaranteed a shot a ring of he comes here, remind him how much better our offense is than everywhere he has ever played, he'll come down in price and play for us

I only want him if the price is right. If he is asking for a lot, let him walk. Even though he would help the defense, you have to ask at what price. I'd rather an average OT and TE in free agency and use our picks for an OLB way more than signing him and not being able to do anything else in free agency and having to cut someone to save money.

Oh good God. I hope the Saints win but they won 7 games last year.

So what? We won 8 games the season before winning the Super Bowl.

Wait, they only won 7 games last season?

Well I wonder fricking why.

The season before they won 13 games, lost their coach/leader, and struggled. Don't be a fricking idiot.

I don't think the Harahan location has them. They don't have a fryer (or at least that's what I've been told in the past).

Does anyone think we could have designs on him playing some Safety? Or would he even want to?

He is on the downside of his career, on the wrong side of 30, coming off two miserable seasons. It has happened to other formerly elite CBs before, and they have done well.

Personally, I think we are bringing him in to play CB. Having he, Lewis, Greer is, on paper, a stout 3 deep at CB.

Just a thought.

Same here. I know he flourished under Ryan but he was fricking awful in Philly. It raises a red flag for me is he a lazy guy? Did he get a contract and just sit on it? I'd rather give him an incentive deal. Sign a 2 year deal with the Saints having the option of picking it up past this year. If he doesn't perform, we can cut him.

I just think it's always absurd with these homer predictions. I hope the Saints go undefeated but they'll lose 5-7 games simply because the defense sucks. Acting like we're the 49ers or Ravens...offering an opportunity to win a championship is pretty much absurd.

We have a shot- just like anybody. But don't act like it's a frickin guarantee and some veteran should sign for a minimum to just have the opportunity.

we lost most of our coaches (head coach an entire year), multiple players suspended and had 3 different coaches throughout the season...it was one of those years. Last year is not the norm. We will be back to 10+ win seasons again.

It's not a guarantee, nothing is.

The point is that we've had a shitty defense for years, we had a bad was for the 2011 season. With Payton the offense was able to offset the defense; they kept them off the field and ate up yards and time along with scoring points.

Payton makes a huge difference. I'm not saying we'll be undefeated, no one is. We just know the team will be a lot better than 7-9. And I'm willing to take bets with any of the 49er dick riders. They are regressing this season despite how stacked they seem.
