Cameron Jordan’s extension, engineered by Doug Hendrickson of @Wasserman and the Saints‘ VP of football administration Khai Harley, is a three-year, $52.5 million deal with a max of $55.5M that includes over $42 million in guaranteed money, per sources.

For the curious there would be no dummy years added on to this contract to spread his hit (yet). The max you can spread a signing bonus is 5 years and this is now essentially a 5 year deal (2 old plus 3 new).
2-3 years down the line if need be we can add a couple of dummy years for cap relief.

Not complaining, but didn't someone post an article a couple weeks ago that Cam was willing to take a paycut to stay with the Saints?

Im thinking showing players you’re willing to reward them for past performance when they were underpaid goes a long way in convincing the younger guys that taking less now will more than pay off for them in the end.

It wasn't that exactly. He was saying that players go for huge money, and he wanted to retire a Saint and knew they would take care of him.
