Scouting the Cards I am pretty weak. Input from some who might know them better?

-Todd Bowles left as very good DC. He's replaced by a young guy that has never been more than a position coach.

-More net loss than gain personnel wise in the offseason

-Is Carson Palmer not the definition of a walking time bomb? The seemingly endless injuries have to take a toll at some point.

-O Line the biggest weakness? Loved this Rotoworld comment: With Mike Iupati (knee) also out several weeks, Arizona's Week 1 line will be LT Jared Veldheer, LG Ted Larsen, C Lyle Sendlein, RG Jonathan Cooper, and RT Watford. It's an abysmal group.

-Certainly the biggest question marked team entering season of the Payton era. So much change and so little seen in the preseason we really don't know what we have IMO.

-Actually expecting Snead or Coleman to step up to be a solid NFL player.

-How does Cooks 100 catch season begin?

-Who is kicking?

Run/Pass ratio? Ground game all talk or real. Payton's W/L record is tied directly to this. 2009 was not only the SB but the lowest pct. of pass plays, 53%. (62% 2014)

-Time for some spark in the return game. Murphy the real deal?

-Defense on a whole, can they gel? Can the newbies bring improvement to the whole?

-Pass rush? Hoping, praying, luck of the football gods, sumpin goddammit

Whatcha got?

My two top for the defense are how well our secondary does against a very good group of WRs and how much pass rush we get against an o-line that's not in the best shape.
I'm also very interested in our pass game against one of the better secondaries in the league.

And yeah I wouldn't get too excited about this. Almost exactly reminiscent of last year before the Falcons game when their line was supposed to blow.

Expecting the offence to do very well this year against all but the top tier defenses.
Love our WR's and RB's. Staying healthy all year on the o-line will get us to the playoffs I think.
Love Murphy as a threat any time and in the return game.

As to the defense can our front seven help the back end?
If we can't pressure Zona we can't pressure any one. Will be the key to the game and most of the first few games. Getting to the QB will be the #1 thing I will be watching come Sunday.

This game is going to be decided on how our DBs play. Will they play with an aggression from the start (i.e. jamming receivers) or will they play very passive (i.e. playing 10 yards off their man).

quick passes all day isn't flashy, but it is productive and will move chains against us. Run defense doesn't worry me as much in prior years, but pass rush opposite of Jordan needs to contain or pick up that sack if preseason showed any indications of what he's capable of.

I'm looking for John Brown over the middle through the Saints secondary. This could get ugly.

I'm looking to see Byrd
Vacarro return to form
Browner cover without incurring penalties
What can Breaux do when the lights are on
Some semblance of a pass rush
Which WR will own that #3 spot
TE utilization without Graham
FG kicking

If we cannot get a sack on Palmer with that line, we are gonna be in for a LONNNNNNNNG season.

Want to see D-line get consistent pressure. That will help the db's.

Sept 13 will mark the six year anniversary of the New Orleans Saints destruction of a non-divisional NFC opponent. Expect the same on this particular Sept 13 as well:

NO 45
AZ 27

Also, expect 10,000 WhoDats to go into Phoenix/Glendale/Tempe and turn U of Phoenix Stadium into Superdome West.

WHO DAT!!!!!

Sacks are less important than overall pressure.

I want to win but I don't expect to. AZ is one of the best teams in the NFL imo. I'm looking to see how our O line holds up and whether our D can get pressure on Palmer.
