While I agree with that, I’d rather be in that position knowing your cap woes are done in 1-2 years. As opposed to the Saints situation where maybe it’ll be cleared by ‘27?

Just here to laugh at the downvotes.

Anyone that thinks Wilson is worse than Carr is certifiably retarded.

*and Wilson sucks bag loads of donkey dicks.

the Broncos will take on $85 million in total dead salary cap over the next two years by releasing Wilson, which will be the largest dead cap hit in NFL history.

Wilson wasn't terrible in Denver down the stretch before he got benched. The problem with him, like many others who aren't Drew Brees or Tom Brady, is that Payton's offense needs a QB to be the centerpiece. Wilson was at his best when the offense is centered around a strong running game and the focus is off of him like it was before Seattle inexplicably tried to change their philosophy and "let Russ cook."

That being said...the Saints should roll with Carr until he either improves or they can dump him without hurting themselves too much.

Why kick the tires on Wilson when he isn't coming here even it the Saints brass were stupid enough to want him?

Carr is the QB and if Winston leaves for a starting/ transition QB job then they will sign a veteran backup to compete and push Heaner. They aren't drafting a QG unless a very quality prospect falls into the much later rounds and it's just too good a value to pass on. Which I seriously can not see happening.

Double Reverse Psych-Out on Sean Payton. It works like this. SP will always be poaching Saints personnel. Once Russell Wilson takes a snap as the Saints QB, Payton be poachin', and Wilson returns to Denver. Denver Broncos QB struggles continue. R. Wilson is dumped by Denver for a second time.

DA out-smarts Sean Payton.

PS I can't believe that I'm the only one smart enough to figure this out.

Carr is better at this point. December showed some real progress and the guy needs another year to show if it was a flash in the pan or not
