I'm not hating on him either. I guess Spags is satisfied with who he has on D. Either that or they just plan on outscoring our own D every game again.

We also need a WR since Meach is gone

Meachem was worth 40 rec and 620yds. Easier to replace than to actually field a defense that won't let the offense down. IMO should have gone defense.

They just went with the player that they had rated the highest. They said yesterday that that's what they're doing.

kinda surprised Zebrie Sanders falling this far, maybe too much to hope for but why not?

Ellison gone, Josh Norman, Zebrie, Billy Winn, Iloka!

Toon reminds me of mike hass, which is why i'm worried. Toon had some injuries in college

Toon is nothing like Hass. Think Colston from a big school program

cam johnson would have been kind of intriguing, but i think he might be around in the 5th.

He's not really that dynamic of a pass rusher though so you're probably right.

Seriously nearly identical skill set. Also very good blocker.

Only reason Hass got drafted was due to that idiot Reggie Bush recommending him.

I'm not certain he was the bpa.

Look, I don't hate the pick but I'm convinced Brees can make mediocre WRs look solid and question whether we needed to draft one this year.

Who? IMO, there isn't a defensive player better than Toon right now. The best value available right now is at WR and OL. Go BPA! It's worked for us so far.

LOL wut? How so? Toon has some speed and is 6-4. Hass was 6-0/6-1 and nothing more than a slot guy. Toon will be a good #2 WR.

So why does that mean he'll be working at a carwash in 4 years.

All of this. Can't knock what Toon's skillset brings to the table.

Easy to imagine this guy moving the chains like Brees does with Colston, and Brees potentially has two Colston's now. At worst, great insurance to make sure Brees has a big-bodied physical hands-guy on the field.
