Was coming to post about this. Including Katrina in there was a little much....but he's spot on and echoes what I've been saying all season. We ran the dude off just to say we were doing something about it. Our issues were way beyond just him.

Yup. Even Rob said our D was 33rd out of 32 and something needed to be done.
Everyone including Rob knows its more than just him and the D but his firing is a start to...something.

This has absolutely nothing to do with my post. I expect our defense will IMPROVE some but still suck. Fact of the matter Ryan had to go. His fault or not our defense sucked and he had to go. Sometime it just is that way things need to be.
Did you expect them to do nothing? Who else did you expect them to fire? I think you need to consider the realities here.
None of this means that Ryan is SOLELY TO BLAME, or even MOSTLY to blame. He is, however, in the position to take the fall. Sucks, but that is the reality of being a Coordinator.
Grow up.
