If there was a god he would have taken Christian Garic instead.

So true. Can't tell you how many times the Saints would make some awful play that would piss me off, but I'd still have to laugh at hearing "gaww" or "God dangit" from Hokie in the background. That happened a lot when I was a kid.

My favorites were his "Git it Reggie"s.

I met Hokie once, went fishing on a charter with him. He was very nice and perfectly down to earth and self-effacing.

Today a co-worker from WWL was talking about how modest Gajan was at WWL, the co-worker had asked Hokie to describe his Saints career as a RB. Hokie answered "When the team needed me to get one yard, I'd get two. When the team needed me to get three yards, I'd get two."

Godspeed Gajan!

Jim Henderson on WWL Radio yesterday during their day-long Hokie Tribute.

Hard to listen to Jim struggling through the emotion to tell his stories.

Thanks for that. You put a smile on a teary eyed face.

RIP Hokie.

thanks for the link...

growing up in the eighties made the segment that much more touching with Garland knowing how broken up Henderson was when speaking of Hokie.
