Well Morris Claiborne scored a 4 on his wonderlic. Patrick Willis scored a 12. Jeff George scored a 10. Frank Gore scored a 6. Terry Bradshaw was a noted moron. Carnell Williams could barely read at auburn. Point is there are good football players that are really really stupid.

Foster certainly didn't help himself with the stunt he pulled. Curious to see if it impacts him on draft day. Some teams will pop in the film and be willing to look past it. I mean Tunsil went 13th and this happened

And I'm not even concerned about the incident....he is an aggressive SOB and you want that at a LB, but I understand he had issues reading plays etc. At alabama...

So aggressive that he'll assault one of the team's medical personnel, or somebody who looks at him the wrong way on burbon? Yeah he's gonna do us much good with how many times his dumbass gets suspended for unsportsmanlike conduct call and possibly off field incidents

I never expected him to interview well, I've heard him speak. He was never making the deans list, there are plenty of documented cases of guys with downs level IQ's succeeding in the NFL though. Football is a simpler game than many make it out to be. I wasn't under the impression that anyone was drafting their next attorney or accountant. Kid never got in trouble in college, they try to piss these kids off in the medicals and it worked with Foster. He's fresh off rotator cuff surgery, it probably wasn't hard. The kid is a savage, you can watch his film and deduct that. Doesn't change the fact he's the best linebacker in the draft. Ray Lewis killed a guy and he was pretty good at football

Can't think of any reason this post is being downvoted to oblivion except that it puts a positive spin on an Alabama player.

Hell, I got downvoted for pointing out that of all the examples of the Saints making horrible draft picks (and there are PLENTY to choose from), drafting a pro bowl safety in the second round (Roman Harper) wasn't one of them.

You can have a low IQ and have football smarts and excellent in the NFL and even become a HOF player....
If you do not have football smarts you will not excell in the NFL and you will be a detriment to your team...
You will prevent your team from winning games and championships....
I do not want a player that is stupid in football on my team.

Maybe we are talking about several different issues with Reuben Foster....
This is my only point.....
Is he stupid at football?
If he is stupid at football, I do not want him on my team. Period.
Stephone Anthony...
And this all comes back to miserable talent evaluation by the Saints!

I try not to be ugly or call names, BUT, that was a total scumbag comment about Terry Bradshaw ....HOF QB very successful at football, broadcasting, commercials, and even acting!

Obviously not an option for us at #11. Should we have a problem taking him if he somehow falls to our 2nd round pick?

I wouldn't want us to draft him at any spot, not even as undrafted signee.

he is a primadonna over indulged head case already, if he has ANY success at all as a pro he will turn a locker room inside out with the infighting and out of control ego he has.

unless he somehow gets struck by lightning and has a come to Jesus awakening and turns humble and contright overnight, he is nothing but a team destroyer for whoever picks him

I don't believe the Anthony is dumb rhetoric. I think that was an easy excuse for Allen.

The truth is the first year Ryan allowed Anthony to play the ball which is what Foster did at Bama. Get to the Qb or get to the RB. There were no advance reads. He was an animal that could react to motion and hunt down the ball carrier.

Now if you are taking him for that role in the NFL then by all means take him.

Anthony was taught nothing Year One and then in Year two was changed to a different position and was way behind veterans that had played for years. He struggled to pick up the WLB and you cannot learn on the job.

If you draft Foster with the Same idea of playing him at MLB but giving him reads and responsibility on plays--It will not work. If you take Foster and plan to more him out to WLB---It will not work.

Not for the Saints. Some team like the Seahawks, Texans or Pats that other pieces around him can allow him to be on the field 20-25 plays and make plays, because the others around him can rotate and cover situations. Like when you blitz a corner or safety you are not just letting a guy run free in the secondary the defense rotates to take away the quick option. Saints do not have enough of those elite pieces to compensate.

Excellent points....
I was hoping it was a Joe Vitt thing and we solved that problem....,
My hope was Allen would take control and do a better job...

Damn dude. That's pretty radical. You can easily cut someone when drafted in the mid-late rounds.

I'm not saying you're going to be right or wrong...just commenting on how extreme your statement is.

One thing should be evident:

Rubén played stupid games and it's gonna get him stupid prizes.....

Don't not waste a pick or time on someone like that. Find a pro who wants to be a pro. Johnny Football is a prime example ......Cleveland wishes they would have chose someone else. They are so incapable of staying the straight and narrow. Did you see the pic of RF in class at U of Alabama sleeping on his desk. That shows the intitlement....he just thinks he is the master of all that lives. Also say a bit of Saban's program. Maybe that will work at UA, but that shite won't cut it in the NFL. Plus RF will not survive the city of NO if he comes here...that mouth with be the end of him. His inability to keep his mouth shut and cost him millions, can you imagine when he meets some else who is not scared of him on the streets of NO-----Ask Will Smith. Saints should just politely pass and look for a winner!!

That picture is from high school.

Tyrann Mathieu could be another example. Laremy Tunsil. Jeremy Hill. There's a long list of successful NFL players that have done stupid shite, more so than arguing and threatening a male nurse. The faux outrage is almost comical. Oh he was mean to a nurse, obviously can't help us
