We're going to have to cut a ton of people just to get under the cap..

We will have holes at every position.

That's not how it works in a Loomis ran organization. Our cap position would actually get worse if we started cutting players.

moved up a few spots and got Jefferson instead of Ruiz

I would have thought this to be bad idea at the time, and still do. WRs seem to fall apart after they sign their first big contract.

This roster needs talent. I want them to pick the right players, regardless of position.

you can have scrub WRs and still have a good offense as long as the QB has time to wait for WR to come open. without that, you can have 10 jerry rices out there but your QB is already sacked so none ever get a pass thrown to them.

You say this but then on the flip side, if you don’t have WRs that can get open then it doesn’t matter how good the OL is. They can’t block forever. There is a thing called coverage sacks.

But it’s a moot point because Carr loves holding onto the ball for forever anyway, regardless of how good or bad the OL is

how y’all would feel if we drafted someone like Brian Thomas or Odunze

Ehh. I feel like there are better players at better positions at 14. If Nabors falls to us, then yes take him. If Coleman is there, I’d only take him if there isn’t a good OT or DE to take. If Bowers falls to us, then he’s absolutely a take.

OT & DE are the biggest needs. DT, S and WR are second level.

Saints need to shore up oline/DE asap. WRs can be had on the market/FA.
Sucks that we have spent so much draft capital on oline/dline lately, but we failed and we need to replenish.

We have to build the lines up first. Build from the inside out and back. That's the success stories. Great lines and rookie QBs. Give them time to grow. It also doesn't hurt to have a playmaker to help them out.
