Kind of off-topic, but I assume we cut Chris Manhertz b/c the coaches like what they see in Garrett Griffin or Jake Stoneburner on the practice squad. I doubt they would cut Manhertz without a decent replacement in mind if Fleener or Hill gets hurt...considering we only have 2 TE's on the 53 man roster now(Hooman on IR for the year). I realize Manhertz was injured, but it couldn't have been too bad considering that the Panthers claimed him off waivers.

I've already convinced myself that he won't play a down for us this year. I'm just setting myself up to not be disappointed. Any games he plays in are just a bonus in my eyes.

Who knows. He could probably use the 2 weeks to get reacclimated and for conditioning anyways

Ellerbe practiced yesterday. So if he's not playing Sunday, I'd expect him back vs Seattle
