We all know he has a degenerative condition in his knee that’s never going to fully heal. He will just have to manage it for the rest of his career but the Saints felt good enough about it to pay him big money. I’m just afraid he’s breaking down a couple years earlier than the Saints had anticipated and now we are stuck with a RT making top tier money but he clearly is having trouble blocking guys this year. I just wonder how much of that is he just can’t move like he used to. We have paid Peat, McCoy, Ruiz and Ramcyzk and all are not even playing at replacement player levels.

He's at least been good for us up til this point. What is bind-blowing to me is the amount of 1st round talent on the offensive line and they look like one of the worst lines in the entire NFL.

Peat was always a bulls hit pick. Sean picked him because of Peat’s dad. I remember draft day when we took him the “experts” were showing his film and he just looked soft and not at all a top 20 draft pick or a tackle. Now he’s a reserve guard making good starter money even with the pay cut. I wish he would just go to Denver already so we can be done with him and draft his replacement. I’m a big Ramcyzk fan and I think he will still bounce back and have good games but he’s clearly having trouble getting out of his stance and getting wide and in good position to take on edge rushers. I wonder if he wouldn’t be better playing guard and moving Penning to RT then draft a new LT. I don’t have the answers but this OL should be a top unit and right now it’s probably bottom 5 in the NFL.

He was outstanding in his prime, but he is not in his prime right now. I don't know whether it is an injury or jut the aging process.

Wasn't Green Bay his only real bad game so far this year?

With that said, our next two first round picks should be on the O line and we better not frick up those picks

I’ve seen him get pushed around at some point in every game so far. He really hasn’t looked like himself.

He almost retired last year
No doubt oline will be the focus in free agency and top of draft
Peat is dead weight on the roster
