OK, I'll get over the failure to draft/sign Lael Collins debacle. Also, no use crying over spilt milk, the horrendous amt. of "dead cap money." Nor will I bemoan the Byrd debacle (when you spend 50 mil on a safety, you expect him to be a difference-maker and are relying on him to be a difference-maker.)

Fixes for this season: bench Chopsley Strief, and plug in Peat. frick it, he's a high first round pick, he should be able to play, and he couldn't do any worse.

Try like hell to trade for a decent guard, and cut Lelito. He sucks. He got Brees hurt today.

Give some free agent WRs a looksee. Reggie Wayne? Don't laugh .. Randy Moss? Our WRs are not good and can't get open.

If this kicker doesn't shape up quick, can him and get another one.

No staff changes. The Saints' problems are personnel-related.

The defense is playing good enough to win. No problem w/ Ryan. Continue to play the guys that want to play and are enthusiastic and give a shite.

So, the problem is with the offense, specifically, two weak links on the oline (and a third, Evans, who is average at best), and subpar receivers.

Brees is NOT the problem. He gives the Saints a chance to win every game.

Maybe trade McCown or Grayson to Dallas for one of their linemen (yeah, including Collins), if Dallas would bite.

Haven't given up on the Black and Gold, looking for viable, realistic solutions and not "fire the coach" idiocy.

There really are not many. Here are all that I can think of:

- Sign the kicker SD just cut
- More Khiry
- More Snead
- Less 5-WR sets, we don't have 4 much less 5. Keep an extra blocker in.

The D? No fricking clue. They suck but are better than the O at this point.

One quick fix: stop running empty backfield sets.

One quick fix. Stop all the personnel packages. It's fricking ridiculous. It doesn't confuse the defense. It causes more confusion with our offense. Line up the 11 best and go to a no huddle. We actually move the ball when we do this. Offensive players cannot get in a rhythm constantly running on and off the field.

Not much you can do at this point to alleviate the offensive issues. The team can't run consistently to keep teams off balance & can't get Brees upright. If they could run the ball & keep Brees clean, things would be ok offensively.

We are young at several positions defensively so the potential to get better there as the season progresses is a possibility. Getting Lewis back eventually is going to be a help too.

What is disappointing is our defensive line play. There is talent there but a student will only be as good as the teacher & Bill Johnson is shitty. Too many years of shitty line play on his watch only to see lineman go other places & have success. He teaches poor technique. frick him.
