Free agent QB Ryan Nassib is expected to sign with the #Saints, source said. They've always been high on him.

How does he stack up against Chase? What's the chance he takes the backup spot?

well, I really wanted him the year he came out...I imagine he is nothing more than a camp body at this point.

Yeah didn't NYG draft him in the second? And yeah if he's just now being signed I imagine he will be a camp body, but was curious. Thanks.

4th round pick by the Giants in 2013

Ryan Nassib was supposed to Eli Manning's successor, but the New York Giants now seem ready to give up on that plan.
ESPN's Jordan Raanan commented on the Giants' quarterback situation during a recent Periscope live stream. Although Raanan was asked for his insight on the Giants' plans to draft a quarterback as Manning's successor, it was his comments on Nassib's future that stood out.
"Yes it does make sense,” Raanan said on Periscope, via Giants Wire. “It doesn’t sound like Ryan Nassib is going to be back. There seems to be some doubt to even how healthy Ryan Nassib is, so we’ll see on that.”
Nassib ended the 2016 season on injured reserve with an elbow injury. There remains a question about whether Nassib was healthy for the majority of the season after he was ruled inactive with the injury around the mid-season point. Prior to the 2016 season, Nassib didn't show much to give the Giants hope that he could be their next franchise quarterback.
Nassib will become an unrestricted free agent on March 9th.
When the Giants traded up to select Ryan Nassib in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, some draftniks had him rated as the No. 1 quarterback in the class. The Giants traded several picks to land Nassib. They had high hopes that they could mold him to become Eli Manning's successor. Nassib has struggled since, with the exception of the 2015 preseason. He ended 2016 on injured reserve with an elbow issue.
The Giants are dedicated to fixing their offense this offseason and the plan is already in action now, don't miss any updates , take a second to sign up for our FREE Giants newsletter!
It's time to find the real Manning successor in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The Giants have reportedly been scouting the 2017 rookie quarterback class since November. They met with several talented quarterback prospects during the NFL Combine this past weekend. You can find information on all of these private meetings here.

Giants.
I actually wished we had drafted him when he came out. Liked what he did at Syracuse.

He may be able to beat out Grayson Garrett, but I don't see him beating out Chance Daniels.

he ever takes a snap in the regular season, many things have gone wrong.
