williams is going to play, he's too good not to see the field as a backup

I say believe your eyes... If SJB showed them enough promise I don't think they would draft 2 corners on top of signing Breaux.. If you're SJB, Frederick, and Dixon you know the club doesn't like something it sees if you bring this much help in the offseason.
I think Breaux and Williams will get the initial looks, especially when you look at Breaux's tape. Swann also will get a good look also. I think it stands
Lewis
Browner
Williams
Breaux
Swann
Wilson
SJB
Dixon
Fredrick

Obviously there are the two given starters, Lewis and Browner and then it gets interesting.
1. Lewis
2. Browner
3. Breaux
4. Williams
5. Dixon
6. Swann
7. Wilson
8. SJB
9. Frederick
Delvin Breaux has all the tools and the will to be the 3 CB. I may be a little biased because I met him in college and am facebook friends with him(so we re basically brothers), but I know that he will work harder than anyone in that secondary to be great and he has the skills to do so. Williams is just solid, he will push Breaux for the 3 spot. Dixon showed last year as an UDFA with us that he has what it takes to be a good NFL CB. I don't know much about Swann but I know he has to be better than SJB, and Wilson has been mediocre at best, his whole career.

Obviously some people will get cut. I think Frederick has an uphill battle in front of him and will likely be the first to go. Its too early to give up on SJB so Wilson will likely be the second one out.

Since Swann is a rookie he'll likely get a contract with the practice squad if he doesn't exceed expectations. Not sure about the rest but I think SJB could surprise some people this season. I see Frederick and Wilson getting cut.

Not to say you're wrong here but we signed two guys to minimum contracts and drafted one of those picks in the late fifth and the other was a mid third.
To me that says they are set at starter and it will be a completely open competition after that. Wouldn't surprise me to see any of those guys stay or go.
I do think Williams stays as he was a third rounder this year so I think they give him one year but I wouldn't be shocked if he got cut. SJB has to show something this year.

Frederick finished ahead of Dixon last year so if anyone has an uphill battle it's Dixon and SJB and maybe even Wilson. The draft picks and Breaux are unknowns so we have no idea where in the pecking order they will be.

My thoughts on Dixon and Frederick are very loosely based. Dixon played well enough to stick out in my mind and Frederick didn't stick in my mind. I don't have much to base it off. The only thing that really matters is Delvin Breaux = GOAT. and he will be the 3rd CB.

I don't thin the coaches traded back into the draft to get Swann unless they think he has a really got shot of making the team. They keep talking about having a "vision" or "fit" for these drafted players and I think think Swann could end up being that in the box type Safety , aka. R Harper

So Breaux is going on the practice squad...gotcha

Impossible at this point. We'll go with a "reasons they won't get cut" list, outside of the top two, obviously.
PJ Williams - 3rd round picks don't usually get cut.
Kyle Wilson - decently rated slot corner.
Brian Dixon - played not horrible in spot work last season.
Delvin Breaux - signed a 3 yr contract as a top rated CB from the CFL
Terrence Frederick - See Dixon
Damian Swann - traded back into the 5th to get him
Stanley Jean-Baptiste - ?

Eh. Wouldn't go that far at all.
I'm expecting Breaux and Williams and possibly Wilson to get the majority of the nickel/dime snaps.

As far as physical gifts go, Breaux sticking with the teams would be great. 6'1" 196 lbs. 4.38 veteran combine 40 time, 38" vert and is a physical tackler. The BIGGEST piece of the equation is his determination. I'd be ecstatic to see Chip Breaux attain his life long dream of being in that number.

I can say there's definitely no doubt in his mind, he'll be in that number. I believe his determination is his strongest suit. Even more so than the size and athleticism. He's gonna be one of the hardest working guys on that team.
