Remember he bases more on what he thinks teams should do vs will do.
I'll give you 20 guesses, you won't peg his saints pick...

Based of PFF grades. Very interesting. He has Buckner going first overall, and I agree I think he's the best prospect in the draft. For those who don't feel like clicking:
quote:
12. New Orleans Saints: Chris Jones, DT, Mississippi State
The Saints have allowed their defensive front to be eroded down the years and Chris Jones would go a long way towards repairing the damage. Jones had a +36.5 pass rush grade which ranked second in the class among interior defensive linemen, and what is most encouraging is that he was improving as the season wore on. He has the size (6-5 and 310 pounds) to give the Saints a glimpse at the player Kevin Williams was in his prime, not the version they saw in 2015.

I'll guess before I look.
And I was wrong. Right position but isn't that guy a 2nd-3rd rounder?

He's been moving up as high as the end of the first...
"Packers mock draft: Green Bay selects DT Chris Jones at No. 27"
One of the guys I've loved as far back as him being available in the fourth on the stupid mock sites. Great raw talent.

From most of the mocks I've seen, he is gone very early 2nd round. I've even seen one or two in the end of the first. But nothing this early.

ESPN's Todd McShay has Jones even higher in his mock draft at No. 29 to the Arizona Cardinals.
"Jones is arguably the most naturally gifted DT in this draft, which is saying something, considering I have seven DTs coming off the board in the Round 1 — and another five in Round 2," McShay wrote. "A former high school basketball standout, Jones has a rare combination of length, strength and athleticism. If he remains focused, Jones has the potential to develop into a highly disruptive inside presence."

I like Jones and thought he would make either a good 2nd or a great 3rd round pick but what do I know. What this tells me is someone may be getting a steal in Jones, which I already believed and PFF is high on some of our more likely picks; Rankin and Lawson. I would be happy with either.

You also have to remember that this mock has Rankins and Lawson (2 guys who have been in the mix as our pick) going before the 12th pick.
As the old saying goes, "the draft is a crapshoot" and the Saints have rolled their fair share of snake eyes. You have to keep rolling in order to get out of a slump.
