How much money would it cost to get the league to simulate the rest of the games based off of offensive rank. According to the ESPN playoff machine, the Saints would make the playoffs in that case.

Minnesota's schedule: CHI, NYG, and @GB
Tampa's schedule: @STL, CHI, and @CAR

Chicago would probably ruin it for us.

It's called a pipe dream if you think the Saints will win out.

The bad thing is our team will win out and not make it to playoffs and get a crappy pick. We will waist the pick on the back from Alabama. And over pay on a contract extension for browner cause that's how stupid this organization has become. The fans have also been overdramatic when it comes to people's opinions. This them is stale and coach Payton needs to go in fact the whole staff. We need to draft players not overpay free agents or overpay for contract extensions.Jeff Ireland needs to take over as GM.

Ironic...

But in all seriousness, the same jackasses on this forum who moan all summer about "I CAN'T WAIT FOR FOOTBALL" are the same idiots wanting the team to tank the rest of the season. While there is a statistical chance, I want my team to go out and win every time. Sometimes getting some player cohesion at the end of a bad season can propel you towards success the following season. I just want the Saints to win, how is this position the wrong one?

As a longtime Saints fan since I was a teenager in the Billy Joes days I've been conditioned for life to appreciate every game and take the ride for what it is each week. Hopefully you have more good weeks than bad weeks because when that happens you get to have the possibility of more good weeks.

People want more dominant talent on the team. The NFL stole some draft pics from us and we probably lost out on some perennial pro bowl talent because of it. The season started out badly and I was content with losing to get a higher draft pick. If the team can make the playoffs, so be it. That means there is more meaningful football for me to watch.

Why are people so quick to give this guy the torch after one draft that seems to be good so far. Did everyone already forget that he was fired as GM of the Dolphins for a reason...I would say that the one thing the guy did somewhat well in Miami was draft, but in regards to money, he made some very questionable decisions. I liked hearing, "Jeff Ireland was the voice of reason in the Saints' draft room" back in May, and I think for now he should stay in that capacity.

Winning this year would be in a position to get the 1st pick. You can't start out 0-4 every year and expect success.
