Be careful talking about Brees or the entire rant will go crazy....lol.
There is no team in their right mind that would give him that kind of money for his production. That contract is a joke. Trade him and these overpaid players, make the team younger, and build for a powerhouse in 2-3 years. We have to stop living in the past.

Galette, Graham, Byrd, and possibly Lofton's numbers are going to come down ($10 mil in Galette's case).

Hawthorne, Bunkley, and one of Evans or Grubbs should go (or take massive pay cuts).

Edit:
Colston's number should come down too.

Hawthorne is making double what he is worth. So is Brees. I think everybody is overpaid on this list.

Yea, he has a roster bonus that will get converted into a signing bonus

It gave the team protection and is now guaranteed.

So that cap hit will be a lot lower

It's hard for a team to spread the wealth when one player is making over $26million a year. I would rather see some of that money spent on the defensive side.

Gallete and Jimmy contract is a joke. Let Colston do over the middle routes and get a good wide out with Graham money. We could pick up a couple of players for gallettes contract.

Brees had an off year but unfortunately he makes what the market is paying QB 's now a days.
