Not that I agree with it but their list is based on their grading system, which doesn't account for things like size and athleticism.

This isn't a mock. It's a ranking.

Using the PFF grading system.

Yeah it's shite.

How does a player like Myles Garrett have the PFF numbers yet he was statistically very underwhelming this year especially excluding his 4.5 sack game against UT San Antonio highschool.

What statistics are you referring to? PFF (rightfully) accounts for things like hurries because it impacts the play without registering a tangible stat.

QB may throw a pick and the only stat that shows up is an interception and the return yardage. I know hurries are tracked but they don't show up in the box score, a lot of turnovers are the direct result of a hurry. Just using that as an example. Flushing a QB into the arms of your teammate means you did a good job on that play despite not registering a stat. The Garrett hate I've always found a little strange. He has flaws like everyone else, but the guy is a physical specimen. He's basically the defensive version of Fournette.

He did register 31 sacks and 47 TFL in 3 years, that's indicative of a pretty consistent pass rusher

PFF isn't really stat based. They grade each play.

If they player makes a positive impact (recording a stat or not) he gets a plus for that play.

If he makes a bad play (even if he gets a tackle but it's a LB who picked the wrong hole and then ran 10 yards to get him and records a tackle) he gets a negative for that play.

If he just does his job but nothing particularly good on a play he gets neither a positive nor negative for the play.

The grading itself is super inconsistent because they have multiple people who aren't football guys doing the grading.

willing to give Garret a pass due to playing for Chavis, we had some gifted pass rushers underwhelm under him, he gives them little to no help.

Yep.

Chavis had the premier DE in the country and used him to play contain.
