The report that Saints coach Sean Payton will meet with #Saints GM Mickey Loomis tomorrow, per Jay Glazer, is interesting to say the least.

Glazer is a direct link to Payton.

I'm worried now. Very worried.

He's not going anywhere. But a serious conversation will likely be had about expectations and bottom line requirements for next year.

Not that I want Payton gone, but I'm also very interested in what compensation people are willing to come forward with. If someone throws out something like two firsts and two seconds and a third, that's gonna be hard to ignore for a team with so many issues and needing to surround Brees asap with more talent.

Schefter just said Loomis will give Payton permission to talk to other teams.

If Glazer says it, it's true. Hopefully this is a conversation that shakes up the organization but allows us to keep Payton, with several assistants being fired.

No less than a top 10 pick for Payton. Anything less and loonies should laugh his way out of the room.

first round pick needs to be involved somehow. Then a 2nd or 3rd in that same year or the next.

If not, you keep Payton. Its that simple

Every team not making the playoffs will have their HC meet w/ the GM & front office over the next few days. This report has come out each of the last few seasons. They have to work on planning for the offseason and when they plan to have offseason reviews done for current staff/players, as well as plans for our current FAs & Salary Cap, and then anticipated FAs that we want to target.
