did he say anything about defensive staff? I sure hope the plan is to clean house... or the results will be the same.

The ESPN talking heads "I still don't think this story is over" "it took him a while to say he was staying and they almost had to pry it out of him". Jesus

The numbers improved with Allen, even if it was slight.

Doesn't matter who's DC when you have nobody on the DL worth a damn outside of a 50 year old Williams and Cam Jordan.

Wasn't Allen responsible for the secondary that gave up the most TD's ever?

If he stays, whatever, that's fine. Just don't know why people would want him to.

Personnel wasn't that much to work with.

Like this guy:

#Saints S Jairus Byrd to me on news Sean Payton is remaining w/ the #Saints: “Is he? I didn’t know that. That’s cool. He's a great coach."

Yeah, I am not too sure about Allen as the DC either.

In fairness to Allen though, any DC is going to look like shite until the D-line is fixed. When your D-line gets absolutely NO PENETRATION.....this is what you are left with. Opposing QBs have a consistently cleam pocket in which to pick the secondary apart.

The positives are that Anthony should progress, as well as Kikaha and Breaux. KV appears to be back on the right track. And hopefully Keenan will be healthy.

If the pass rush can improve, I think the secondary will play more to their potential (including Byrd).

I still believe that the biggest need this offseason is along the front seven and the o-line.
