New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton told reporters Sunday that he sees similarities between third-round rookie RB Alvin Kamara and Marshall Faulk. “There’s some traits that Kamara has that remind me – in regards to his intelligence, his ability to run routes,” Payton said. Payton was Faulk’s running backs coach at San Diego State during the 1992 and 1993 seasons.

The only thing Payton likes more than a lanky WR with good hands is a smallish RB who can catch out of the backfield.

Yeah we talked about that in another thread.

There's also "look" and then the bait and switch (Mickey does this more) where they answer a question with a yes or no and then when they go into detail it's opposite of the initial answer.

Who was it that they always compared to Khiry Robinson to?

Bill Parcels said you have "_________" use him.

Would hear this story every Monday/Sunday night game?

Is Khiry out of the league?

Was never the same after breaking his leg. Left here and played a couple games for the Jets before getting cut

I just want to point out that someone asked the question that talked about Marshall Faulk and Payton said that there were some similarities.

Just for some context and perspective. Think of having fans think that you should be Marshall Faulk-lite as a rookie.

I mean, that would be a hell of a weight for a rookie; I mean, Marshall Faulk only had 1804 yards from scrimmage with 12 rushing/receiving TDs as a rookie.

He currently is a free agent. According to an article I read he has had 3 separate breaks in that right leg. That doesn't bode well for contract signing. I have to say I never saw that kind of potential in him.

MF ran a 4.35. AK a 4.56. It's like comparing a Camaro to a Bugatti
