From Wisconsin. All Big Ten 1st Team. Measured today at 6'1.4, 247 lbs. I think this guy will be a plus starter in the NFL.

Only 79 tackles in 2015?

79 tackles puts him just 5 behind Kendall Beckwith as a comparison, and Beckwith played inside. Beckwith was considered to be a 2nd rounder had he entered the draft. 79 tackles sounds pretty good for a prohjected 4th rounder. And he's good in coverage and can rush the passer. I like this guy in round 4 if he's still there. I think he could start on the weakside, especially if Ellerbe doesn't come back.

Why is everyone so sure Ellerbe isn't coming back? he was by far our best linebacker when he was on the field I understand that is a big WHEN but I fully expect him to play next year in B&G.

if you can't depend on someone, you gotta find someone who you can depend on right?

we're not cap-strapped too bad after restructuring Jordan and extending Brees, but we'd be fools to carry Ellerbe's 5.9mil cap hit to depend on him for 6 games when cutting him saves us 4.5mil. He needs to take a pay cut paying a guy a 6mil to play in 6 games is foolish when he's not making an over the top impact.

He has played in 7 games the last 2 years. that is worrisome.

I have no idea if Ellerbe is coming back or not. I just said IF Ellerbe doesn't come back. If he does, then Schobert would be good depth at WLB

He probably comes back, but there's no way you can depend on him to stay healthy. He's the Eric Gordon of LBs

I'd rather Deion Jones. We need speed and athleticism

I like Jones too, but he weighed in today at 219. Can he play OLB in the NFL at 219?

Looks pretty good to me. We are seeing more smaller(kinda) speedy LB's in todays game. Like Shaq Thompson for Carolina... Jones will add another couple of lbs and be a great LB in coverage.

I like Joe and looked up his scouting report and watched some film of his. I have a feeling his defensive coordinator, Dave Arranda, has more to do with his production because of the scheme. A product of his environment. I do like Deion Jones, Scooby Wright, Blake Martinez more than Joe Schobert.

Aranda's scheme put lower talented players in a good position to make a play. I don't know how that will translate to the NFL. Many good college QBs were not NFL talent.

I'm surprised I haven't seen more people post about Wright. Not saying it'll translate but I can't remember a defensive player that put up better all around stats than he did last season.
