OK, so, before we go on.. This is from a blogger at Canal Street Chronicles, NOT a professional so obviously take it with a grain of salt. Still, it's nice to see this in metric form.
LINK
There is a full write-up in the link. Looks pretty solid. To sum it up:
-Armstead is dominant.
-Lelito is really bad and can't be counted on.
-Peat is bad at LT, but played mostly sound when at RG. Should probably be placed there only moving forward.
-Landon Turner flipped and looked really good

quote:
On any given play a lineman will WIN by moving his opponent off their spot or knocking them to the ground, STALL by holding up and neither giving nor gaining ground (nor getting bodied themselves), or LOSE by failing to complete his responsibilities on the play.
I then take that raw data to find the key stat I use to measure offensive line play: success rate. By combining wins with stalls (which are valued slightly less than wins) and dividing them by the total number of snaps played, I can get an idea of how often a lineman was helping the offense. Stalls go in favor of the offense over the defense because they don’t hurt play execution.

Some real Saints stats/news? Refreshing from the melt that had become ST.

Have zero problem with him starting over Tim. Tim was awful

Keep Peat on the right side period. He doesn't move well enough to play against speed consistently. I think he's a more natural RT, but RG suits him better than playing on the other side.
Kelemete is a good LT/LG. He should stay on that side and preferably start over Lelito (if it's one or the other).
If Lelito starts it should be at RG. He should not be playing any other position.

Get out of here with that logic.....
Haven't you heard, Peat is a bust already according to experts around here. He's the worst OL man ever..... He has no place on a football field.....
No place around here for anything but over reacting to a few plays.....

The difference between peat at guard and tackle is pretty wild. Seems like it would make sense to keep him at guard, especially with the need we have there. This board has been a shite show, thanks for posting actual data.

Will be looking to see who and where the starters are lined up at practice Thursday.
Does Turner get a shot with the one's?

I think he definitely should at least get a few reps.
In the end, even if he looks similar/slightly worse than Lelito right now, he clearly has higher upside. I'd rather take the chance.
