Official Adrian Peterson Hype Thread

Tim Hightower is one year younger than Adrian Peterson
Tim Hightower tore an ACL and was out of the league for 4 years. Adrian Peterson tore an ACL and ran for 2000 yards the next year
When Tim Hightower was a 23 year old RB in his physical prime, he ran for 598 yards on 4.2 yards per carry.
When Tim Hightower was a 30 year old RB after returning to the league the year before, he ran for 548 yards on 4.2 yards per carry. So the 23 year old and 30 yard Tim Hightower's production were nearly identical.
Why? Bc we got a gangbusters OL that just got a whole lot stronger by replacing the weakest link (evans) with Warford. 30 year old Tim Hightower (6'0 229, 4.59 40 yard dash), can match his 23 year old self with a HOF QB to keep the D honest, but Adrian Peterson (6'1, 220, 4.40 40 yard dash, HOF and active leader in rushing TD's) cannot?
If anyone wants to bet on the athlete Tim Hightower over the athlete Adrian Peterson I will gladly take your money. If you'd like to bet on Mark Ingram in a race with AD today I will take that bet as well. If fully healthy, AD should lead the Saints in rushing in 2017.
There are 32 year old running backs who are 1/18th the athlete Adrian Peterson is racking up 1,000 yards. Look at Frank Gore (4.59 40 yard dash, 5'9, 216).
At 31, 1,100 yards
At 32, 967
At 33, 1,025
The KEY is him staying healthy. If he stays healthy, Adrian Peterson should easily gain 800-900 yards rushing. It wouldn't even be all that crazy if he got the hot hand and stole MI22's carries and went off for 1200 yards. I think it is borderline impossible for AD to bust in this offense if he stays healthy.
Final prediction for AP28 in 2K17:
1069 yards on 5.2 YPC, 8 TD's.
For your time:

I'll be happy with however he contributes as long as he doesn't fumble

Seems more like the Official Anti-Hightower thread.

But but but he can't catch!!! He doesn't fit in the offense!!!
The three headed monster in our backfield will dominate the NFL this year. If we can't make a run with this offense, even if the defense is only marginally improved from last year, then we never will again.

I can manage to get hyped about AD without disrespecting Tim Hightower.

I don't believe it is a hate on Hightower thing.
It his rebuttal to this THREAD where the OP said

I recently got down voted into oblivion for the opinion that Adrian Peterson will likely be a marginal upgrade to Tim Hightower and that he wasn’t even in the top 20 most important players on the roster. I stand by those comments based on the evidence below.
Not really a knock on Hightower but more on ghost2most

No shot he leads the team. Not in yards or carries.

I wouldn't say there's no shot because anything is possible but I'm not expecting it either.

I guarantee he does.

Yeah I wouldn't say that. He has a chance but it's just not probable, especially with Ingram and Kamara.

BM, solid posts lately. Kinda missing the troll posts though.

Those who think I was disrespecting Tim Hightower are too stupid for words.
