This just confirms that they amputated Breaux's leg.

Headline: Ochsner protects its own.

It's not uncommon that we frick shite up people.

Actually a hundred percent accurate statement. And I've been in radiology for over 15 years. Specifically CAT scan.

Maybe if you worked in human scan, I'd think your experience was more relevant.

great, so where were their follow up diagnostics? payton was pissed with breaux's lack of progress after 10 days or whatever it was. Breaux was obviously still complaining he wasn't getting better and sough 2nd opinions on his own diligence. it was medical negligence by the dr's. don't think i'm getting caught up on the word "misdiagnosis" that ochsner is seemingly taking exception to.

Just throwing sh!t out here WDF. As he already had a plate screwed into his bone? And then he has pain in the same area and to the degree he can't play shouldn't there be a complete scan/pic of the area asap?

Ochsner statement: "We really don't want this extremely embarrassing and public frick up to hurt our 4th Qtr earnings. We would appreciate it if everyone pretended it didn't happen."

Yes. A cat scan with 3D reconstruction.
C'mon man. You don't know the sequence of events that took place. Breaux may have sought a second opinion without even notifying the team orthopedists. I am pretty sure if he'd have followed up with them, they'd have ordered a scan and reevaluated the leg. We do not have enough info to know how this played out. All we know is he got looked at by another physician and they diagnosed the fx. I am in no way defending anyone or taking a side here. I'm just telling you that statement is 100% accurate. A stress fx can be missed. I've seen a lot of shite missed in my career. That's why radiologists review each others dictations and work. Accountability. Everyone has to be held to a high standard of care. Especially with human life.

I agree and believe that the fracture could not be detected upon first look. My question is why there is not a protocol for immediate follow up to confirm first diagnosis. These are high end athletes in which resources are not an issue. The fact that it went so long with no follow up to confirm diagnosis is why they were removed from team.
